My mission calls me to create shared experiences that invigorate and heal our souls and assist the Earth so all may thrive. We all long to experience our essential wholeness, in unity with Earth and our Total Self.

I have been guided in my mission since I was very young. Despite a congenital diagnosis of otosclerosis at age 5, my father taught me guitar so we could sing and play together. My young ears were filled with songs from mom’s Christian radio station choices and cassette tapes—they were a nearly constant underscoring during childhood. In school, I sang in choirs and developed an inner understanding of music as an expression of the soul and as a deeply healing force. As a teenager, I expanded and explored new musical passions: I faced my internal adolescent woes with the music of Mozart, Beethoven, Handel, Ace of Base, Jewel, and the womyn-focused pop, rock, and R&B radio of the 1990s.

Despite challenging dynamics (inter-generational familial dysfunction; close family substance abuse and substance-related deaths; self-estrangement and coming out as queer in a conservative small-town family environment) and doubts about my life path (I vacillated between teaching and performing professionally throughout my university and graduate school years), I trained my voice, a voice which I used to be very uncomfortable hearing recorded. I loved learning music theory; for me it was some sort of mystical code of describing Western classical music. I related to music like some experience light, color, and form…to me, music feels a sonic-emotional kaleidoscope. I persevered by finding ways to blend my love of music with my ability to bring joyful, healing presence to others…the same way my parents and maternal grandparents spent many weekends and holiday evenings with us kids: playing guitars, tambourines, and singing in harmony.

In 2013, I left an academic career with brilliant scholars and mentors in the Department of Musicology at UCLA to spend more than 9 years traveling and making music with Justin Honard (Alaska of RuPaul’s Drag Race), knowing I would be challenged with the vissitudes of show business ups and downs and face the wounds and anxiety of growing up working class, without many resources for an easy career path in music, let alone healing arts. But my spiritual path grew exponentially with each risk I took. Each time I chose to follow my path, my Beloved, Music, and endeavored to link Music to my healing gifts and my experiences as a live performance, I received the grace of allowing the power of sound and music to transform myself and audiences. Throughout graduate school and during my touring years, I self-studied sacred geometry, archetypes, the mythos of ancient lineages (primarily my own Euro-Mediterranean heritage), and the living, dynamic wisdom traditions provided in my training with incredibly wise and generous sound healers, including David Gibson, Randy Masters, Lisa Rafel, and Vickie Dodd for my certificate in Sound Healing from the Globe Institute in Sausalito, California.

My dream and primary mission in this lifetime is to bring sound, music, movement, and ritual arts-based healers and performers together to perform, heal ourselves and others, and create Consciousness-centered community here on the western coast of Turtle Island and around the world.

Thank you for taking a moment to draw closer to me. Please reach out to me if my mission and work touch your heart, make your Inner Child curious, or feel the fire of mutual collaboration and community with you. Cosmic Gratitude… from the Divine Spark of My Soul to Yours!
